Designing for Speed: My Experience Working With the YALA F1 in Schools Team

This year, I had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with Team YALA, a talented F1 in Schools team based in Jeddah. What started as a creative partnership quickly became an inspiring journey filled with innovation, teamwork, and the thrill of competition.
Working with students who are passionate about engineering and design reminded me of the power of creativity when it’s paired with determination—and I’m proud to share that the team went on to win 8th place nationally in the F1 in Schools competition.
Crafting the Car Renders: Bringing Their Vision to Life
My first task was to create high-quality digital renders of their F1 car. I focused on lighting, reflections, and material quality to ensure their car looked both realistic and impressive. Good renders help judges understand the precision behind the design—and the team was thrilled with the results.
Building the AR Experience: A Modern Touch
One of the highlights of this collaboration was creating an Augmented Reality (AR) experience of their F1 car. This allowed judges, guests, and even team supporters to view the model in 3D right from their phones.
