Shada Hotel aims to maintain its authentic, culturally inspired atmosphere while still adapting to the expectations of today’s guests, who prefer clear information, digital access, and personalized service. The challenge was to create a product that respects the hotel’s identity without overwhelming guests with technology or disrupting the calm, home-like environment Shada is known for.
Reflect Shada’s home-oriented hospitality
The goal is to elevate the hospitality experience by transforming scattered information into a cohesive, emotionally comforting, and culturally meaningful user experience.

Problem
Guests often struggle with fragmented information—scattered brochures, printed menus, unclear service details, and lack of direct access to hotel offerings. This leads to confusion, repetitive guest inquiries, and a disconnect between the hotel’s thoughtful services and the guests’ awareness of them. The hotel needed a unified system that communicates clearly while visually fitting into its cultural and aesthetic values.


Solution
The proposed Room Assistant is a smart, aesthetically integrated device that centralizes everything a guest needs during their stay. With a modern–traditional design inspired by Saudi patterns and materials, the device blends naturally into Shada’s interiors. Its interface delivers room information, hotel services, activities, and booking options in an organized, bilingual, and visually consistent layout. By merging cultural aesthetics with digital functionality, it enhances the guest experience while supporting Shada’s service philosophy.

The Room Assistant device is created as a bridge between Shada Hotel’s home-oriented Saudi identity and the needs of contemporary travelers. Inspired by the hotel’s design language—warm, culturally rooted, and people-centered—the device combines traditional motifs with modern digital convenience. It acts as a personal guide for every guest, gathering essential information about the stay into one elegant, intuitive interface.
